He provided a comprehensive defense of his actions at his press conference.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes he did. I have a feeling most people did not bother to watch it.

For one thing, he said he never expected the Florida authorities would reduce the 18 months of REAL JAIL time as they did.

Secondly, he forced Epstein to pay legal bills of his accusers so they could seek restitution.

He also explained, in so many words, that the child victims were engaged in giving massages and so forth, and that they would have been attacked and shamed on the witness stand.

I am sort of sorry Acosta had to resign over this, as I do not think he is the malefactor. That would be the State people who were trying with all their might to let Epstein off the hook.

One additional fact I learned from the Acosta press conference was the early involvement of DOJ in DC. A DOJ representative flew down to participate in one of the first meetings chaired by Acosta to plan a strategy on how to proceed. That direct involvement of DOJ continued all the way thru the process. Acosta adhered to DOJ policy including the decision on not notifying the victims about the deal.
