Jones has been testing the waters for a few years now. He has talkied about running for a variety of offices from Governor, Senate and House. It has mostly been all about self-promotion.

He keeps the spot light on himself but never takes the chance. He is so afraid of losing that I doubt he'll pull the trigger. He mixes left-wing politics and sports on his show. If challenged he either shouts down his opponent or shits off their mike. I think his jaw is glass. He'll skip Fancy Farms. Face-to-face, man to man is not his style.

I hope the mods clean up my spelling error. I meant to write “shuts” off their mike.

My bad.

Two things.

- Mitch McConnell OWNS the Kentucky Republican party. The only successful challenge to his authority was from Rand Paul, who had a national framework in place thanks to his father’s prior Presidential campaigns.

- Matt Jones would be a much better candidate than Amy McGrath. He’s honed his public persona on radio and television shows, where he’s established a bond with the (mostly) conservative UK fan base. He also has extensive experience hosting unscripted public events. But as someone mentioned, he obviously loves what he’s doing; it’s hard to see him giving that up.

We’ll see.

I think McGrath is going to end up dropping out of the race.

1) She’s extremely hard to look at.

2) Even CNN has noticed that her campaign is already tanking. In fact, the word “disaster” was used.

FTA: Jones did compliment McGrath on how much money she’s raised — $3.5 million in two days — but said that despite the money, her “authenticity problems” could dog her through the campaign.

IMHO most of the GOP losers in the last election also had an “authenticity problem”. This was especially true in the Arizona senate race. During the debates, Kyrsten Sinema came across as genuinely likable. Martha McSally came across like a robot, spouting the standard republican talking points.
