Tucker Carlson has escalated his feud with Ilhan Omar, a day after he accused the Somali-born congresswoman of having 'undisguised contempt for the United States'.

Carlson's comments on Tuesday prompted Omar to describe him as 'racist fool', but the Fox News host doubled down on his criticism of the politician during Wednesday night's opening of his Tucker Carlson Tonight program.

In a fiery piece-to-camera, the 50-year-old star claimed the US had 'rescued' Omar from 'the single worst place on earth', only for her to act ungratefully.

'How did Omar respond to the remarkable gift we gave her? She scolded us and called us names. She showered us with contempt. It’s infuriating,' Carlson charged on the program.

Really? Where is there any proof of this accusation? Refusing to be anti-American and calling out ingrates who come to this country through scams and then vilify it doesn't make Carlson a racist. Ilhan Omar is a disgrace, and an ingrate who contributes nothing worthwhile to America, except an opportunity for neurotic white liberals to accept some abuse - she belongs back in Somalia.

I believe they are under the “diversity” gun. They must hire dark skinned people, but struggle to find qualified people who were raised and educated here. Fortunately, you are wrong. This isn't an abstract example of a possibility; it is an actual current event. This isn't just any country; it is a republic. Nor are we in the past; it is now. Unfortunately Tucker is wrong. A country can be ruled by people who hate it. There are plenty of examples in history of just that. Most obvious one: England right after the Norman conquest.

Pretty sure he meant that nobody can successfully rule a country it hates. It can not survive.
