This all has the makings of an accidental start of World War 3. It reads like a Clancy novel. Hopefully nobody does something stupid.
The only way for Americans to get back and forth to the space station is on Russian spacecraft; this whole Faux Cold War is ridiculous. I don’t know how, in today’s climate, any American soldier could be concerned about foreign enemies while our country is openly invaded.
This is all theater for the uninformed/those who ignore what is staring them in the face.
