Now that the media is finally, at long last, interested in the 2006 Jeffrey Epstein child sex case, perhaps we can get an answer to the most intriguing question: Why does he keep escaping justice on essentially the same child molestation charges?
The only reason for the medias flood-the-zone coverage of Epstein -- 13 years late -- is that they think theyve found a Trump connection. Oh happy day. (Trump was friendly with Epstein 15 years ago -- before banning him from Mar-a-Lago for life after he hit on a young girl working there.)
The main hook is: Trumps Labor secretary, Alex Acosta, accepted a disreputable plea deal with Epstein while serving as a U.S. attorney under President Bush. If fixating on Acosta is what it takes to keep this case from being brushed under the rug (again), then I guess you can have him.
But just between us, Acosta's not the real villain.
Its easy to forget, but Epsteins arrest this week marks the third attempted prosecution of him for sex with underage girls.
Its certainly been easy for the media to forget! In The New York Times version of events -- and that of every other news outlet -- the Palm Beach police discovered Epstein was paying minor girls from West Palm Beach for sex ... and then took the case straight to the FBI!
That seems odd: Why wouldnt police bring their case to the local prosecutor, who was overseeing the investigation and issuing subpoenas?
Because they did.

“As usual, the story appears to be far more complicated than the always ravishing, razor tongued Coulter presents it.”
I agree after listening to some of the pundits on Sean and Laura’s shows. These people have tried cases like this and think Acosta did a decent job considering the evidence at the time. In this case I think Coulter is off her meds again.
I just found this fascinating post by our dear friends, Daily Kos about Trump and Epstein ALONE entertaining 28 beautiful women. I couldn’t resist reading the juicy comments. One comment suggests that President Trump has a video collection of a number of people whom he supplied with friendly women for fun and games. Shades of Hoover? Regarding your comment, another comment there says that the Washington Compost and other well known media knew about this and other scandals re Trump before the election and said NOTHING. Of course, they questioned if even knowing that the things reported there would change any Trump votes. Like all Trump voters favor macho male behavior, even if it is illegal. Yikes!
That was before, when you were innocent until proven guilty.
Now, with Twitter and FascistBook, the target is guilty until proven innocent, like Brett Kavanaugh and Roy Moore.
Note that Epstein is NOT the target here - it's Acosta and Trump, who are both guilty on Twitter.
"You the one who libeled our friend?"
"I did. And I enjoyed it."
Correct! Many things, including the Epstein investigation, were started by Jeff Session’s DOJ. Always let your enemy believe you are weak when you are strong. Some people around here don’t have the most basic understanding of strategy.

Subtlety is not her thing. She likes to follow the shiny object, whether wittingly or unwittingly, rather than looking more deeply to find the truth.
Actually Maher is on record on his show criticizing Clinton over Epstein island in 2015
Look it up
Acosta is the good guy here you are spot on
The Democrat state attorney was going to let it go and Acosta only had two girls out of the group willing to tell
And several saying they adored Epstein and that he was great
Not an easy case
Do posters here ever dig beyond headlines and excerpts
No

Most just skin those hoglegs and get to popping off
Its as much a freeper tradition as moose cheese and all your base are belong to us and DITHF AND CGEB AND ESCHOIR

Tonight’s news said Acosta has tendered his resignation.
