Clever. More subtle than mine by far.

That’s why it’s good for you and me to stay sane and off drugs so we can watch the other guys and be a step ahead of them.

Legal marijuana is one of the worst laws passed. MI will now have texting millennials meeting us head-on in our highway lane and feeling like they can fly their car above the coming collision. God help us.

I think that about my being a nondrinker, too. Made that decision due to my mother being an abusive alcoholic. Sorry, all normal one or two drink FReepers. I know it offends people when I say that.

My late mother almost killed a woman in an accident and the judge let her off saying “I’ve been at that bar. They water down their drinks. I’m sure your level wasn’t that bad. No charges.”

President Trump, Mitt and self help guy Tony Robbins are nondrinkers.

They say “bartenders don’t drink.” Is that true of AOC? Just wondering.

I am convinced that chronic habitual use is corrosive to the mind. Though from a political-philosphical standpoint I think we should decriminalize most drugs, in no way is that an endorsement of drug use and in no way am I fan of this “legalize, regulate and tax it” approach that is the trend. Penalties for selling to children should be stiff - but perversely here in California where weed is legal they sell not just weed but all kinds of fruit flavored THC smokeless oils you can inhale, THC candies, THC drinks - “For the kid in you!”. They actually market and sell the stuff based on potency. The high THC products fetch a premium of up to 100% which is only going to lead to more potent products coming to market. Imagine if alcohol distillers actually marketed their products based on alcohol content? “Bud gets you buzzed faster than Miller”. Its insane. There are weed stores all over the place, and indiscreet public use is widespread. One silver lining, perhaps, is that the state expected $1B in tax revenues but only collected 1/3 the amount. But that might just be because before legalization people were ‘buying in bulk’ throwing the estimates off. Now that you can buy it 24/7, no need to spend more than you can smoke in a day.

My wife quit drinking 12 years ago, which pretty much means I quit drinking 12 years ago. I was never much of a drinker anyway so it wasn’t a big deal to me.
