I just dealt with one of those non-American hires. I was trying to clear up a bill with a satellite tv company. It was pointless. The English consisted of “hmmmm...I’ll check that”.
After wasting about 40 minutes, I got patched over to an American and it was settled in about 5 minutes.
It must have been directv. I had the same circular conversation with them. They had outstanding customer service until they started to slash costs to make the company more attractive to AT&T.
