Acosta’s going to speak to the media this afternoon to try to keep his job. Mick Mulvaney reportedly wants him gone, although that may have less to do with Acosta’s mishandling of the Epstein matter than with him not being as aggressive on deregulation as Mulvaney would like. Here’s Ann Coulter on the radio yesterday doing a little speculating of her own about Epstein.

Last night on Breitbart Radio on Sirius XM, Coulter sad that the real bad actor in all this was Florida's Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer.

Krischer was all over the case when Palm Beach Police told him of their case without mentioning names, but he sabotaged the case once he found out it was Epstein.

Coulter said that even though Acosta was weak and chickened out, he's still the only one who actually stepped into the state's jurisdiction and obtained a conviction when the proper Florida legal entities would not.

It makes one wonder if Epstein had something on Krischer, too.

Anything is possible but I’d suggest that in this case helping to protect the convict from a conviction would be incentive enough. Lots of possible rewards, career boost, doors opening in politics etc to do him that kind of favor.

Good point about Acosta actually getting a conviction, if all the black magic stuff is actually true. We’ll see what he has to say soon enough.
