No, it won’t. There is only one Detroit (thank goodness).

My hometown of Windsor Ont. is one mile across the Detroit River, Thank God for the river!

Portland, and Oregon in general, is doing the same thing. All leftist controlled cities are doing a swan dive to self destruction. The odd thing is these leftist city leaders all seem to feel good about destroying their own cities. L.A., SF, The Bay Area in general, Portland, Seattle, and a bunch of smaller cities near these cesspools. Austin, TX. Chicago, Detroit, DC, Atlanta, Baltimore, and on and on...

More proof leftism is a mental disease needing eradication.

If we outlawed leftism then Seattle could start healthy regrowth over night. It’d be like excising a caner and going into remission.

Won’t people ever learn that if you want to survive and live in peace, then leftists cannot be tolerated in society?

The Amazon pullout of Seattle continues. The corporate giant announced on Tuesday that it is going to build a 43-story tower in Bellevue.

Isn't Bellevue right outside Seattle?

Yes - across Lake Washington. Maybe 5 miles as the crow flies.

Homeless may decide to move...but, I do not know Bellevue politics...maybe that will save it from becoming another lefty lose haven. I grew up @20 miles south of Seattle...when the Smith Tower was the tallest building there. So sad to see the destruction of many west coast cities...but the lefties brought it on themselves.

South Asians are a big part of the political scene in WA. Given how far left they are, soon, you won't have to go to South Asia to encounter what it's like to live in Bangladesh, India or Pakistan.

South Asians make blacks look like rock-ribbed Republicans.

Liberalism can rot a city within a very short amount of time.

can rot a state also- see Illinois

The on-going story of man, with few exceptions, America being one of them, is he is seemingly hell-bent to self destruction.

That doesn't apply in this case, because the ones destroying it are not the ones who built it.

I think a more accurate description of mankind's fate is this: good and hard-working men build something. Lazy and parasitic men see that something good was built and they want a piece of it, so they come in droves. The parasites demand more and more stuff that they can't make/build for themselves, until the number of parasites exceeds the number of hard-working men. Then you have collapse.

There are enough leftists in Seattle to destroy that city.

Empty building? Hey, why not high-rise housing for the "homeless"? Pack that baby to the roof! Always room for more; help solve L.A.'s homeless problem too! Come on up!

Yes!

This!

Seattle..."send me your homeless, your illegals, your addicts, your diseased..."

Black demographics in Seattle....only around 7-percent. I lived up in the region in the 1980s for a year, and found that most blacks that moved into the region...were ex-military types who were stationed around the three major bases/posts at some point.

I was there ‘79-81, and it was a good city, much like the working cities in the Midwest that I knew. I came back in the 90s, and it was a little full of itself. Now it’s on its way to becoming a Milwaukee.

I’ve been witness to the economic
downturn that Seattle will soon
suffer, but on a much smaller
scale. A once military town of
40,000 devastated by the sole
driver of it’s economy suddenly
pulling out. It’s taken 40 years
to stabilize to the point where
families and those who see this
community as a lifetime investment,
wish to stay.

I was talking to a guy in Bellevue selling his house. Nice enough home (2500+ sq. ft.), but maybe 30 years old and would no doubt be a tear-down with a mansion built on the nice property. The realtor had 12 people make offers. Eleven of them were Chinese. The non-chinese guy was trying to convince the guy not to sell to the Chinese people. (He was Korean iirc!)

But it won’t turn into Detroit until a certain demographic is totally in charge of the city.

I used to think seeding the river with all those sharks was extreme until the 1967 riots. Worth the cost of feeding them fish scraps. They do their job.

P.S. CKLW was great.
