I don’t pick books based on ideology. I’m a pragmatist who regularly curses that sort of thing. More power to Patterson for being such a success.
Good for you! That is to your credit. You don’t have to like his books. No one does. However, he didn’t become the all-time selling fiction writer without a lot of people liking them. So, he is not your cup of tea. I respect that. That is why there are a zillion writers out there. Something for everyone.
