Air conditioning is a sexist and unnecessary luxury thats killing the planet, according to the New York Times.
This is what a Luddite looks like. This is what a backwards, anti-science, anti-progress, spoiled, imperialist, bullying bigot of a Luddite looks like. This, right here.
You know, we always laugh at this whackery; we always dismiss it and write it off to left-wing lunacy that no sane country will ever allow and then the next thing you know men are marrying men, mentally ill men in skirts are sharing restrooms with our daughters, and were all being forced to bake their goddamned wedding cakes as the next Democrat nominee for the president promises to open the borders and confiscate our guns.
The left and by the left I include the media are already coming for our guns, our health insurance, our private schools, our churches, our automobiles, our backyard grills, and now they want to take away our cooled air.

Annnnd they lied about the image size, This is why being able to edit posts would be nice...
Talk about sexist...

Males also frequently get stiff nipples in chilled rooms/buildings where the thermostat has been turned down very low. So I vote for NOT sexist.
New York libs are just full of advice for how other people should have to live. Why should anyone in flyover country have a flush toilet, for example? It’s wasting Muvver Erf’s water and hey, cholera wasn’t really so bad, was it? All I’ve got to tell them is “you go first”.
Not a problem...my A/C is asexual.
How about Arizona and Florida? Or any state along the Gulf Coast?
I've lived-in all three states. I'd rank them Florida 1st, Texas 2nd and Arizona 3rd for hottest and most uncomfortable without A/C.
I read an article in the WSJ years ago that said that Houston, Texas would never have been developed into a major metropolitan area without the invention of A/C. It was just too humid and oppressive for people to live or work there.
Arizona is the hottest but the most comfortable because of the low humidity. "It's a dry heat".
I live in Florida now and the last two mornings on my daily walk at 8 AM it has been 80 degrees plus and 98% humidity. I could hardly breathe. And I live in north central Florida. It's ten times worse the further south you go.
I used to run long distance when I was younger. I could run in the heat for hours in Arizona because it was dry. I could barely run in Florida on the panhandle because of the humidity.
I'll say it again, New York, in this case the NYT, comes up with the dumbest ideas for way the REST of the country should live. Don't expect them to give up their air conditioning though.
They HAVE TO take away air conditioning, if for no other reason because their ‘green energy’ will not even come close to supplying the level of power needed, particularly as the Third World continues buying the units in the 10s of millions (go look at pictures from even Bangladesh now).
They have no choice - like many other items we used to rely on Air Conditioning must and will be UNINVENTED.
“They toucha my AC I breaka their face.”
They’ll have to pry my AC Compressor out of my cold, dead, hands.
Good grief.
FNC Tue. night had a story about this. They mentioned that 15,000 died in France alone during that heat wave.
“I think you mean upwind, dont know though for sure since I dont know you. ;-)”
Thank goodness I don’t hunt bears.
It's still fun to visit, but the other Keys are always there to enjoy as well.
I dunno, I’m recently retired and an idiot most of the time. Too much time on my hands, learning to deal with it though.
