I’m not saying it was the wisest decision Acosta made while a prosecutor, but unless they can find any evidence of wrong-doing behind his decision to drop the federal case in favor of the state case then there is no reason for Acosta to step down.
Unless Acosta was a complete idiot, he knew something smelled. He was complicit by his silence.
