He was re-assigned... to a more anti-sematic school?
The classic school board way of fixing a problem; move it to some place where the parents are not yet aware of it.

"He should have been fired, not reassigned" I don't disagree, but I think he was worried about being fired for recognizing that the Holocaust was real & refusing to follow the party line and deny it happened, instead saying 'some people think it didn't happen' (his boss?).
I see him as caught between a rock & hard place with nowhere to hide, perhaps I need to reevaluate.

We should be teaching our children about the Holocaust, the Killing Fields, the Ukraine/Soviet Famine and Mao’s Great Leap Forward. All these events are historical facts, not beliefs.
