Why wouldn’t Mossad be involved? ISIS destabilized Syria and came very close to toppling Assad. It’s classic strategy of tension. Without Assad and Saddam long dead there’s no major hostile Arab state that can start a Third Arab-Israeli War. Israel’s security strategy relies on keeping its neighbors weak and not able to project military force outwards.
