Not only is offshore drilling good for energy needs, but the reefs created by the production platforms make for superb fishing.

When i worked offshore for Mobil Oil in college, I would catch a box full of snapper, cobia, amberjack, etc. to take home to my parents.

“...But a recent ruling from US District Court Judge Sharon Gleason keeps an Obama-era ban on Atlantic and Arctic offshore development in place....”

Surprise, surprise, surprise ... yet another Obama judge.

There was all just grandstanding by Obamao to the environmental wackos. There has been very little oil to date found in the offshore of the Atlantic.

The Trump administration should have done this within the first month or two of taking office.

Basically the first priority should have been reversing everything Obama did 180 degrees.

Never mind the oil and gas...we want that liquid methane

Enormous amounts of methane hydrate have been found beneath Arctic permafrost, beneath Antarctic ice, and in sedimentary deposits along continental margins worldwide. In some parts of the world they are much closer to high-population areas than any natural gas field. These nearby deposits might allow countries that currently import natural gas to become self-sufficient. The current challenge is to inventory this resource and find safe, economical ways to develop it.

Gleason, of course, is an Obama appointee.

Trump Administration has to fight the courts constantly. It’s very frustrating. Probably most of the appeals they filed won’t be decided until after election day.

Too bad the Senate only works about 50 days/year. They’ve confirmed a lot of judges, but I believe there are many still awaiting confirmation.

Our system of government is in serious disrepair. There are times I think we should replace our current government with a monarchy.

The Trump administration recently appealed a court decision that prohibits offshore development in the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.

No court should be deciding where US firms can or cannot develop energy resources. A perfect example of how out of control our courts have become.
