Researchers have to be very careful not to suggest or pursue inquiries that might strike some as racially motivated or insensitive, which can be just about anything. Consequently serious research is often hamstrung and inconclusive. In the framework of political correctness, reality has to be tortured into preconceived conclusions that don’t contradict the narrative.

Not just race... or climate change, but many PC areas.
For example, sloppy research on immunizations is accepted as long as the conclusion is PC. But accurate research on immunizations is not accepted when it has the wrong conclusion.
