To clarify: If Ali Krieger and Megan Rapinoe were standing next to Melania Trump, who would notice they were there? Putt the whole women’s soccer team in the room with her, and who would notice the team?

You rarely hear of athletes from other countries’ teams mouth off about their national leaders like these “American” turds do. These cretins just make sports unwatchable. Frankly for these two harpies, I’m pulling for hamstring tears for both of them.

I don’t care who they are but they are making noise to get attention and who knows, make some money off of their bitching, moaning and groaning plus they will probably be poster children for the gay rights movement.

I’d like to know the back story about what the British and other nations might have been doing to gaslight the Americans. The Brits might be getting a little of their own back but the Brit tabloids won’t cover that. Nevertheless, I agree with 99.5 per cent of your post...the other .5 is just held in reserve. Ironically they are emulating the behavior the they complain Trump exhibits!

Hey, you dykes. Go do something worthwhile with your lives instead of kicking a ball around and being an embarrassment to yourselves and this (not “your”) country.

Boycott all homos, trans, and liberals who support them.

Have NOTHING to do with them. Family included, ... especially family! You love them right? You are an enabler. Just like helping the family junkie by giving them money for food, when you know damn well they are going to use it for drugs.

They can chose between family and all the good that comes with it, or they can choose the deviant sex and all the bad that comes with that.

Pro “choice” right? It’s their “choice”. Let THEM choose.

Can anybody tell me why someone who hates our country would agree to play for our national team? Follow up question. Why would such a person be allowed to play for our national team? In a sane world, respecting our country and its flag would be the first requirement for any member of a national team.

It is unfortunate that we live in a society that feels the obligation to allow people to do what they want no matter who it insults, causes harm to, or humiliates someone that has the experience to understand why or the youth not to. And this is what has destroyed a number of societies in history already: The Roman Empire, Saddam and Gomorrah, Ancient Persia, Greece, and Russia a few times. There are more, but this gets the point across. As society relieves the family unit of its responsibilities for the growth and maturing of its youth based upon its history, being replaced by untried or un-evaluated or dishonest leadership in control, it never fails to destroy the whole.

You can go to any men’s U15 or higher travel game, on any given weekend, and see better soccer.

This is what you get when you pretend women’s contact sports are even close to on-par with men’s.

A woman (?) that recreates sexually, dresses up in multi colored hair, and cusses in public in front of the youth she is supposed to be a role model for whether she wants to or not as that is part of paying her bill, is used in the same sentence as the word principles? Even in jest, you’re giving her way too much credit for being flawed. She doesn’t deserve that much. She’s a train wreck of humanity.

“This is what you get when you pretend women’s contact sports are even close to on-par with men’s.”

That depends upon your interpretation. Are they really selling the sport or creating an outlet for women so it can be commercialized? And it starts at the lowest of levels with girls in little league baseball but boys not allowed to play little league softball. Forced money for girls and women’s sports in grammer school through the women in college. Off shoot programs never intended to be anything more than a social event using a sport as it’s draw like the WNBA, women’s softball, even down to lingerie football is for the commercial value as the leagues come and go with smaller draws and unfilled stadiums until their leagues fold.

You mentioned contact sports. Soccer isn’t even close to football and basketball. I trained people for years and I never came across a women that I would consider nothing short of meat trying to block an oncoming 300 pound lineman in a pit area that’s frothing at the mouth. But they pretend this illusion, don’t they? But if it was mixed, women would learn their over exaggeration painfully. Yeah, they can compete, for maybe a couple of plays before they get knocked into tomorrow. Reality doesn’t always make money, fantasy does.

You make good points. My daughter played all sorts of sports growing up, and was better for it. But she never had any thoughts of being a professional athlete.

I specified “contact sports” because I do believe women have an edge in some non-contact sports, and should focus on them. For instance, and man, or a man pretending to be a woman, is never going to match the grace and agility of a skilled female gymnast, or figure skater.

But you’re right, the best women’s soccer team will be physically dominated by any decent male team, and in a sport where the slightest nudge sends the “victim” into theatrical convulsions. Laughable when compared to football, rugby, or even baseball.

“.....match the grace and agility of a skilled female gymnast, or figure skater.”

Better be flexible with that comment. You’re talking about sports where women are getting more masculine and men are becoming more feminine. Thirty three gay and bi men skaters have competed in the last three Olympics. Even the two main announcers for figure and ice dancing, Terra Lipinski and Johnny Weir, could be interchangeable. So as the women’s sports get more acrobatic and start to lose the grace you speak of, the men are trying to get larger in their spins but not really as technically good. So the women look better and the men are told they are okay with their participation points in their efforts to amaze whether they make it or not.

Gymnastics for the genders differs a lot so it may not be a non-contact sport you can compare as the different exercises create different requirements. Women have uneven bars, men’s are parallel, different strength requirement. Men have still rings, pommel horse, and horizontal bar, while women have the beam. Both do floor and vault, but looked at differently. The only thing I think that draws them closer together in skills is how it’s presented by the media. They’re good sports, but they’re almost totally different.

I asked myself the same question...
Go on CNN and make a nasty comment about President a few days before the championship game...I am trying to remember if some other athlete has done that before...

Making sports unwatchable...Yes, indeed...When I watch some sporting event, I don’t really want to think about politics...Right now, when I watch USWNT, I cannot avoid thinking about how Ms. Rapinoe and Ms. Krieger are behaving...I am sure that I could find better things to do.
