nice little shaker
i8’m in LA, it was substantial.
Trump’s fault, ya’ know?
Dang,
I Love a good
“Roller!”
Felt it here in Irvine
“Im So. Cal. didnt feel it, however someone just posted they had a quake in Vegas!!!”
Same quake. It was about half way between LA and Vegas.
“Same here. Just kept rolling & then rolled some more”
Yeah. When it kept going I began to worry it might get big.
Hey , Fiji Hill, what’s shakin’ ? haha. East Whittier here.
We here in SoCal are veterans of the earthquake wars, so much so that we can tell the distance and magnitude even before even SoCal EQ Data Center reports it. Up and down shaking means very close to epicenter. Side to Side rolling motion, the EQ is far away.
I told the Mrs. a 6 or 7 pointer about 120 miles away based on the rolling motion.
Pegged it. 6.6 Ridgecrest 127 miles north. Felt just like the Landers quake or the one near Mexicali some time ago.
Is it time for another In-n-Out Burger over on Beach and Whittier? Anyone else close to there, let’s do lunch.
See ya.
Quite a few in that area - https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
in Acton about 3 miles from the San Andreas fault and I didn’t feel a damned thing, My dogs didn’t react to anything either, they were with me. I was outside though
When I lived there we’d sometimes get pretty big earthquakes and people would call the police to report it. As if the police stations had some kind of earthquake isolation system and wouldn’t know if one happened without the phone calls.
...and these people vote, too.
Shaken, not stirred. Where was James Bond, any word?

Exactly.
This one wasn’t as bad as others out in the high desert. I figured in the mid six range. 7 might roll more strongly and longer.
It’s probably because of of all of those illegals flooding the border and adding extra weight to that area of CA. May fall right off into the ocean. Just my theory.
I Hate Sand Worms!

Anything you ever need to know about a quake can be found at the end of Drudge Report, right side. He is plugged into the USGS (Geological Survey) and links to big maps and worldwide maps. Also has reports on volcanoes, etc.
Illegals and clustered homeless camps?
Lol!! That explains a lot about the state of CA.
Anyone near Universal Studios? I have family down there today.
