President Trump is considering an executive order to try to move forward with a citizenship question on the 2020 census, top sources tell Jonathan Swan and me.
"We didn’t come this far just to throw in the towel," said a senior administration official with direct knowledge of the conversations.
Former federal judge J. Michael Luttig, who has longtime ties to officials in the administration, told Axios:
"If the president of the United States were to issue an executive order, supported by his full Article II powers, directing that the citizenship question be included in the 2020 census, I believe the Supreme Court would affirm the constitutional power of the president to include the citizenship question in the census.”

If the law hasn’t changed, people only have to answer one question and one question only.. How many people live at that address. There can be 1000 questions, but you are only required to answer one. Leftists need to chill.
Oh really. What enforcement measure do these “judges” have to compel the President of the Unites States to comply with their edicts? Trump should use the same mechanisms that Obama used against judges.
If the question isn’t on there, non-compliance is the only Avenue citizens have left.
As for fewer Critters, NY has lost almost half its House seats over the last 60 or so years. Sucks to be us, but you cannot tell me that hasn’t been great for the country as a whole.
Curious what the penalty is for lying about any answer on a census form or to a census taker (if they still exist).

It has taken me a while, but I finally agree some court orders should be ignored. Where in the Constitution does it say the courts are superior to the President, or that the President has to necessarily heed their rulings?
The only question is would Congress impeach Trump were he to do so?
