I assumed the children were put separate to keep them out of the men’s tent? To keep them safe?
I agree children should not be separated. They should stay together with their parents on the other side of the border until their hearing day in court.
NPR is not a reliable fact checker. They are just a liberal part of the press, paid for by your and my tax dollars.
Wasn’t some of their government funding cut or is threatened to be cut under Trumps administration? Not that I’m suggesting (coughcough) anything but the “fact check” and timing does seem suspicious....
Oh, well, npr. What next? A pbs docudrama. Or is that on netsux agenda as produced by the obxxx production team. Have they done anything besides draw a paycheck?
HONESTLY CONDUCTED FACT CHECK: NPR fails to report that their fact checker was a long time Obama and Hillary donor.
The Obama administration was putting children and adults together, even though was no evidence that the children and adults were related or that the minors were not simply being trafficked. It was actually a court (possibly 9th circuit) that ordered that minors be separated for their own protection. This took place during the last year or so of the Obama regime.
It is the parents responsibility for “anything” that happens to their children. Period!....It is not our country nor it’s presidents responsibility when these illegals have been told repeatedly don’t come here! They’ve purposely ignored our laws and warnings from the get go and continue to do so....
The problem is that they were (are) arriving with children and no documentation. In many cases it turned out that the children didn’t belong to them and in several cases the “parents” were abusing the kids.
Immigration can’t afford the liability of leaving the kids with what is essentially strangers (or worse) so they separate them pending identification and eligibility. Of course the real solution is to deny them entry to the states so that any responsibility would remain on their heads, not ours.
