Yes, distracted kids can be an issue. I was nearly hit myself by a young girl in a new Lexus. She was so engrossed in her phone that the vehicle entered my lane and continued to push me (on my motorcycle) to the shoulder, when I finally gave up on shouting and the horn, and KICKED the passenger’s door hard enough to dent it.

The look on her face was priceless. She evidently had forgotten she was driving!

I’ll bet she had a good time trying to explain the dent in the car door to daddy.

I didn’t get the chance to kick a little dent in their car, I was hit from behind twice.

Getting smashed into twice has left me in constant pain which I will never recover from. If I could rewrite the laws you would have to lock cell phones in the freaking trunk of your car while driving!

I’ve more than once thought it ironic that we put virtual entertainment centers on the dashboards of lethal tools and then beg for defensive skills to be applied. Not unlike promoting health and safety while giving a green light to abortion.
