I have always believed that every JAG should be subject to combat behind a section or squad leader as a grunt for at least 6 months, if not a year.

Then there would not be such an arrogant attitude towards the men who actually have to live in the situations and own them.

I’d have taken that offer in a heartbeat. I flew with the fighter pilots. Hell, the AF didn’t even let JAGs shoot the big gun (16) until Iraq. I had to finagle range time with my Navy Master Chief chef of police to get the chance. I may be the only JAG with a Navy Expert Rifleman medal, but I’m not sure. We need to know what the pointy enders do.
