Our 35 yo daughter is visiting us for the week with her two little ones. I honestly am beyond words at the insanity that comes out of her mouth. In fact, she cited the Matthew Shepherd murder, saying gays are dragged behind cars and slaughtered. Rapinoe is a hero of our time and will be a historical figure fighting for the rights of gays. Donald Trump the rapist living in the WH should be in prison for life, especially for his hatred against blacks and gays. I told her I wanted to see the statements DJT has made about gays and blacks, I would give her a day. She came up with NOTHING. Can’t even remember her crap on global warning.
I am sick and frankly, I just want her to leave, it breaks my heart that I feel this way.
My son is planning on marrying a woman with
the same views. I can’t bear the thought of
having to deal with her as a relative.
I pray for your and your family. I’m sure it is heartbreaking for your daughter to believe all the rhetoric and propaganda.
I have some liberal leaning people in my family. But they are more old line liberals. One of my older aunts, since passed away, when discussing the onset of homosexual marriage, said, well, keep it behind closed doors, don’t flaunt those marriage licenses, keep it away from the children. She was liberal in her thinking, but not “leftist” if I can use that term.
I know someone similar. This individual gets news passively, off of a smartphone news feed, and believes every word of it. No critical thinking or logic or curiosity at all.
Hope you don’t have to kick her out.
Looks like we’re living in the time where our foes are those of our own household, as it was written millennia ago.
They’re all hypnotized. You have to try to snap them out of it some other way.
Ask your grandkids if the want to see what Mommy looked like at their age, and drag out the old home movies. Maybe it will take her back to a time before the left ruined absolutely everything. If not, well, you’ve killed some time.
I recently reconnected with a high school friend who’s unfortunately a Bernie supporter. I haven’t mentioned a word about politics yet. I did use the phrase “politically incorrect” once in a text. She said “that’s a triggering term”, and I then asked “So what would you call the Chinese Fire Drills we used to do at traffic lights?” And of course we both thought that was funny. I’m trying to remind her of how things USED TO BE, and how she used to be herself, before the thought police took over.

Pubic school Level I indoctrination has been quite successful. Followed by Level II at college (the real reason college has been pushed sooooo hard). Level III is social media.
She has been effectively brainwashed, as in a cult. Undoing it will be tough, probably impossible. She’s an adult, and has too many reinforcements against your logic.
