I took some kids from Brownsville Brooklyn under my wing.
About two weeks ago, and for the first time in a long time, one of them was rude to me.
I went OFF on him and told him there’s only ONE alpha dog around here and it ain’t him.
I made him apologize to my face, no email or text and also clean the floor on the passenger side of my car.
Then I emailed him some days later reaching out and telling him we were good and he’s generally a good kid who I am proud of.
Kinda like Trump has done with Kim.
The “my button works!!” was the alpha dog moment.
The reaching out afterwards is smart.
The person will feel good that you reached out but they WILL NOT forget who the alpha dog is.
