Actually, the amount of blacks* currently living who have felony records far exceeds the total amount of slaves between 1622 and 1865. Remember, about 40% of felons still under the jurisdiction of the court are not incarcerated (pre-trial, parole, probation).
But to be frank, this actually STIFLES the fact that slavery was a “major impediment” to the advancement of blacks. By that logic, Asians would be at the bottom of the heap, rather than EXCEEDING those of whites, let alone non-white minorities, as “coolies” were just as enslaved (indentured, technically) as blacks were in a pragmatic sense.
But I digress. Sparticus can’t even get his T-Bone in gear, let alone spout rational discourse.
