The man and his 23-month-old daughter lay face down in shallow water along the bank of the Rio Grande, his black shirt hiked up to his chest with the girl's head tucked inside. Her arm was draped around his neck suggesting she clung to him in her final moments.

Are they actually related?Smart to ask, because so many aren't, but it sounds like she was. Genius left a 23 month old on the river bank while he went back to get his "wife". Of course she got scared and tried to follow him.
What kind of an animal would risk the life of his daughter, and ostensibly, his wife, just for financial gain. Disgusting.
