Trump criticizes Megan Rapinoe for anthem protests during World Cup

President Trump criticized one of the co-captains of the US Women’s World Cup soccer team for protesting during the national anthem at the team’s games during the tournament in France. Trump, who has been outspoken about protests by NFL players during the anthem, made the comments about 33-year-old Megan Rapinoe to The Hill during an interview Monday. “No. I don’t think so,” he said when asked if he thought she should be protesting. Rapinoe has refused to sing the “Star Spangled Banner”before each of the matches during the tournament as protest of injustice in the United States. In the past, she has even knelt at other US national team games during the anthem. “I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart,” the 33-year-old national co-captain said in a recent interview before the competition started. “I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again.” Trump made the comments hours after the women’s team had a 2-1 win over Spain.

Her “protest” is nothing more noble than the expression of a slanderous lie.

Does she have a right to express a slanderous lie?

This bitty shouldn’t be allowed to play. Period.

Where is the coach while this is happening. The coach should never be aloud to coach the US National team again. And who is the top dog at the Women's soccer federation (or whatever its called). Shameful to be representing your country and dissing it on foreign soil.

If this keeps up soccer may disappear the way of the metric system did after they tried to force it on this country. Not helping their cause at all.

Letting this sport take a foothold in our country has helped with its downfall

If you have DirecTV and you pause, after a while they start showing ads for what’s on offer. One such features US Women’s Soccer. Shows three players, Rapinoe is in the middle with a grimace on her face that would cuddle milk. I suppose she thinks it shows how determined she is, but it is really really ugly.
