I find that these self checkouts are a great time saver. For me it is a game to see how fast I can run my purchases through and be out the door. I am fast. Others struggle. Some day everything will have RF chips. You just load up the basket, run it through the reader and everything is instantly checked out at the same time.

Some already have the RFID chips. Certain stores. On one job, I used to program the bar codes for the labels. Later versions of those printers spit out the RFID tag on the back side of the label, coded with the info (one of my internal customers had that version of the printer). I also coded the SQL for the bar code scanners for a significant gift-item manufacturer (their point of sale management software).
So this IBM system is well on its way. This is just an example video. I saw this commercial in 2007. About fell off the couch though I shouldn’t have. Read about the systems in a single point-of-sale magazine I just happened to pick up. Perhaps I didn’t just pick it up by accident; only God knows.

Once these systems are implemented world-wide, it will be very easy to turn off one’s account when one doesn’t have the Mark of the Beast. (which will happen, IMHO)

Maybe the boxes should drive. The boxes knew we were lost.
