Alternatively, it may be that the economic turn down and currency devaluation are now widely felt.
Either way, bad news for Erdogan and his AKP Party.
All good points, but Erdogan can simply stage another coup attempt and lock up his opposition.

The loss is really important, he pulled out every trick in the book to keep it from happening.
Bad for Erdoooo is good for the Turkish people (possibly a minority that are pro Western).

You aren’t Turkish if you take current downturn serious. Money not even devalued in half over a year is actually a sign of stability there.
