Interesting.
I wonder if there’s a way to confirm that this vid was taken after their briefing meeting.
Oh, nevermind, CNN says they were celebrating Schumer’s mother. /eyeroll

A happy reason for this moment: Pelosi asked Schumer about his mother, who was rushed to the ER yesterday. Schumers joyful response was because she was released today and everything is ok.
Ha! Schumie’s mom....yeah, right!!
“Sounds to me like your wrong”
agreed. but to me, it’s now looking like Trump has been trolling the Mullah’s via fake “leaks” made to look negative against him, which he now knows is the only way he can get the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia to publish stuff he wants them to publish ...
i think he did exactly the same thing when he got the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia to publish “leaks” about his “advisers” disagreed with his plan to live tweet during the Dem debates ...
Sure, prices goes up for all of us... but our factories keep humming. China lives closer to the line - they’ll go under. Under with many European countries.
Looks like Merkel getting a line to Russian energy was a good idea for Germany. Of course that takes time.
My point is this is an ideal time for us to sit back and let others COME TO US FOR OUR HELP AGAINST IRAN. We’re in the cat-bird seat. Yes, a war with Iran is in our future but lining up allies during this critical period will make all the difference.
Germany’s made some interesting moves:
from link:
The Nord Stream 2 pipeline to take Russian gas to Germany is arguably Europes most controversial energy project, drawing opposition from Ukraine, which it will bypass, and uniting the US, eastern EU states and the European commission, which fears it will undermine the blocs energy union plans.
But this month a compromise deal on pipeline rules was forged by Germany and France, which should allow the scheme to proceed.
This time evidently not so "meaningless". We actually were 10 minutes away from a strike when the mission was aborted!

“We actually were 10 minutes away from a strike when the mission was aborted” would be a more descriptive statement than “we had planes in the air and ships on station”. I was skeptical of the initial NYT story, but it does seem there was something to it this time.
New word: Trumpsmanship - bringing brinksmanship to a whole new level.
Great post. The US will always be energy interdependent with all other countries on both the supply side and demand side. The US will always pay close the “world price” unless we go back to the Carter era controls.
Throw coal into the mix and gets even more interesting. The key is to have alternatives that can be used in a reasonable amount of time. Thats why we need to keep coal and nukes viable. A policy that emphasizes coal and nuke for electric generation and hydrocarbons for transportation and chemical manufacturing would be a recipe for minimizing the short term impact of oil shocks.
