(Reuters) - Oregon’s Democratic governor dispatched the state police on Thursday to bring back to the legislature Senate Republicans who left the Capitol in order to scuttle a vote on climate change legislation.
Democrats are unable to vote on the legislation because state Senate rules require a quorum of at least 20 members to be present for action to be taken on bills.
Governor Kate Brown said in a statement she had acted in response from a request from Senate Democrats for state police to bring their colleagues back.

Demonrats will not be denied their communism. They will use the power of the police state, they will steal, they will lie, they will KILL to achieve dominance over their enemies (us normal people).
Stand up and fight by voting no and then hold press conferences about how this crap will kill OR jobs as we know it.
The liberals there support this, so they're going to get the government they deserve.
The Republicans are trying to prevent the economic destruction of Oregon because of a politically created pseudoscientific fantasy. Yeah, send the cops to stop them from doing that.
I remember the Democrats fleeing back in the stretch from 2001 to 2008, and how the press said it was brave and heroic of the Dems to do that.

As I recall, many of the Wisconsin Dems went to the Clock Tower Inn in Rockford, IL. Apparently they stunk that place up so badly that the resort was torn down in April 2018. There's some poetry in there somewhere....
I can’t speak to the specifics in Oregon, but legislatures generally have the authority to compel the attendance of their members.

Please yourself. You had elections, OR Republicans got their asses kicked, the voters want Marxism, so at least stand on principle and vote no and then explain how the state is going to go further into the crapper than it already is.
Or maybe Republicans are holding out on another compromise that will be a kinder and gentler Climate Change bill. That's precisely why Republicans lost in CA, OR and WA. Trying to be too much like the Rats instead of standing their ground.

This says more about the stupidity and lack of conservative principles OR Republicans have than engaging in some Marvel Comic heroics.
Maybe OR Republicans will now stop going to cocktail parties with the Dems and guffaw over how stupid voters are at supporting their schemes.
