How far away from the courthouse can the be arrested? 100 feet, 200 feet? Lots of holes in this injunction.


When one of the drunken Kennedys crashed in DC in the wee hours of the morning, he told the cops he was on his way to a committee meeting and thus couldn’t be arrested for DUI. The Constitution does allow for immunity from arrest for Members on their way to or from Congressional business. The same could be applied here. Any illegal can claim immunity by saying he or she is on the way to or from a courthouse.

That was Patrick Kennedy. I think you would need to change the Constitution for an illegal claim immunity.

Well sure if they are Congressmen or Senators, but I don't think illegals normally qualify.
