Why do termites eventually leave?

They run out of wood.

Not everyone is leaving ... only those who haven’t been murdered yet.

So called experts shouldn’t have to “tax” their brains figuring out what people are fleeing.

Also, things like this may explain it, too:

Police cars in Chicago have signs
“Police Carry No More Than $20 in cash.”

This really hit it on the head, and out politicians can’t seem to figure out (or in reality don’t care) what they’re doing wrong.

My employer went bankrupt and sold in 2011 and the company moved to North Carolina. That was the catalyst for my leaving.

“Illinois is the most Democrat-dominated state in the union, measured by the party’s control over state government and its votes for U.S. Senate and president. The Democrats have controlled the governor’s mansion and both houses...”

Gee, I wonder what is causing the problems?

Democrats believe it’s the state’s lack of investment in education and infrastructure.

By gosh!

The Dems are sooooo very right!

First, they need to raise taxes, and then, of course...

Build a few bullet trains.

(Hmmm, let's call them "high speed rail trains", this IS Illinois.)

Why Are Residents Leaving Illinois in Droves?

The cost of unfunded mandates for public service unions.

...and the continued draw of residents to the Sun Belt.

That one caught my eye. I used to live in Seattle and now live in south central KY. I have relatives in Chicago so I’ve spent more than one winter’s day there. I’ve also lived in Anaheim and Vallejo CA. The “endless summer” of California was nice, but it gets boring. Kentucky’s winters are perfect. They are beautiful, short, and don’t really interfere with life. Seattle’s should be good, but it does interfere. To me, chicago is a nightmare several months out of the year.

So, I wondered why people stay there. And it hit me: From a 19th and 20th century perspective, people just got used to it and they stuck. But in the 21st century it is simply too easy to move. And that is what people are doing.

My wife has three sisters and a brother as well as her mother is still alive. In the last five years, only two are still in the Chicago area. The rest are around Phoenix AZ and LOVING it.

I guess the violence, statewide corruption, the fact that the majority of the state-which is pretty Conservative-is controlled by the Left in Chicago, the illegal immigrants sucking off the teet of the taxpayer, has nothing to do with any of it.

It’s just officials not providing affordable housing, etc. The same officials that somehow routinely end up in prison.

I wonder if “Build that wall!” will be a theme in the Indiana governor’s race :)

I think they’re leaving in droves because they can haul more than in cars.

long-standing economic discrimination against black residents

That makes NO sense. If your problem is a lack of workers and a shrinking pool of potential recruits, you can't afford to be fussy about what color they are.

Is this a rhetorical question?

No,it's serious.Illinois' Rat Party Headquarters is trying to figure out if tax increases might stem the flow.
