I was under the impression that Iran has already been denied that, mostly anyway. I could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time. I’m also not convinced about the “easier” part.
Every time we have hit Iran with sanctions the Germans, French, Swedes, et al find ways around them. Then we play whack a mole with our “allies”.
There are ways short of war that can lay a serious hurt on the Iranian regime. That doesn’t mean we won’t kill people and break things.

IOW, everyone plans their agenda on what they believe is best for them. In the instant matter, I would get on the record any support for what he wants to do from his RINO and dem enemies before he does anything. They will use it as a political football as soon as he does a thing or nothing. They have nothing to run on, don’t let them bag you based on what this pip squeak nation does. If Iran was looking to be seen as an aggressor here, they would have sunk a US ship. They might be crazy but they are not stupid. Consider they are probably getting a feel for our domestic politics from Kerry to boot. IOW, a traitor.
