The fact remains, Moore was *WAY* ahead before the lying accusations against him came out and were carried 24-7 for months and months of biased "news" coverage.

Why would you think that? Do *YOU* keep track of every poll in an election of which you are interested? I certainly don't. I note it at the time, and move on. It obviously didn't stay there, but it did indicate the degree of support that Moore had prior to the lies coming out.
Clearly Moore was ahead prior to the lies coming out. And you want to argue that it wasn't by that much? Okay, fine, how much ahead do you want to claim he was before the lies came out?
*You* go look up the various polls and wade through them to find the maximum amount he was ahead. I've got other things I would rather do than that. I'm not the one that needs convincing because I remember what was happening at the time.
