I’m Asian. I view this slavery thing as cancer of this nation. The country was on wrong footing at the start. There is no such a thing as equality. Either govern or governed. Two mistakes by Americans: 1) dragged blacks into their living space for better cotton trade. 2) emancipation without solving this issue

The first was amendable. The second was likely fatal

Should have picked our own damned cotton.

I’d like to find the person who thought that slavery would be a good idea and kick ‘em in the balls.

[[I view this slavery thing as cancer of this nation.]]

was it a cancer on Africa where they held slaves too? On Europe? On practically the entire world? Or is it just America who are the bad guys?

Asians held black slaves too, and even enslaved their own people-

The first legal slave owner in American history was a black tobacco farmer named Anthony Johnson.

In South Carolina alone, there were nearly 200 black slave owners-

American Indians owned black slaves- by the 1000’s

There were nearly 4000 black people who owned slaves in America during that period-

Most of the slaves brought to America were purchased from African black slave owners

The Chinese in California were treated far worse than the slaves after the Civil War. Where are their grievances?

It is unfortunate. Makes it very easy to see how quickly a populace can turn from Christ.

Asian conservatives are awesome.

Americans did no such dragging, you are ill informed.

My great grand father joined and fought with the 24th Wisconsin Infantry. My family reparations have been made.

“I view this slavery thing as cancer of this nation.”

This continent was like a paradise, and slavery was our “original sin”.

Would you be surprised to know that blacks started slavery in the new world long before this nation was founded?

Anthony Johnson sued in the Virginia colony to enslave John Casor.

Would you also be surprised to know that by percentage blacks owned slaves at a higher rate than whites?

This nation was on good footing from its start. What would the solution be, absolve the USA then reconstitute it? That would seem retarded.

“I’m Asian.”

So? You’re human, yet you just separated yourself by claiming to be Asian as though that should someone change my perspective on your comments.

One thing civilized people do is forgive and forget then move on. Slavery ended 150 years ago. Time to stop acting like it was yesterday. Civilized people do that. We don’t go back to the beginning of time with retaliation in our minds like the savage nations do.

There's no doubt that slavery is a cancer. But let's provide some context and therefore perspective.

America didn't invent slavery, and I'm out of patience with those who talk as though it did. America wasn't the cause of slavery, America turned out to be the cure.

The world was a bad, bad place. No one had rights to speak of. The closest would be the English, with the Magna Carta. Rights certainly did not exist in tribal Africa. So let's stop pretending America was the turd in the punch bowl, shall we?

The world as we know it today...with talk of such niceties as freedom of speech, property rights, etc, is largely a result of America. America is the locomotive of the world, in more ways than one.

So no, there will be no talk of collective guilt/Original Sin for America.

As for these twits...these race pimps and their hos...they got a great deal. Their ancestors got a raw deal...paid the price of coming to America, but got none of the benefit. Their descendants got quite the opposite, living in a sense of entitlement with no clue about the responsibilities on the flip side of the coin. They get to live and benefit from a First World country while providing little more than a Third World mentality.

Those who speak of how the world should be changed have no clue of how the current one works, or why it works. They are little more than vandals and mobsters and should be treated accordingly.
