I am horrified that no one is horrified over the Manafort case.

Ten million dollars in bail for a white collar crime revoked. What happened to the Eighth Amendment?

Some flight risk; like he could make a move that the media would miss.

Ten million for violating a little known, rarely enforced statute routinely violated by half of K Street with impunity.

An early morning no knock raid, terrorizing Manafort and his entirely innocent wife who was frisked in her nightgown.

Manafort and his attorneys were fully cooperating with the persecution. There was no legit cause for the raid.

Twenty three hours a day in solitary without so much as a newspaper. A treat generally reserved for violent criminals deemed too dangerous to mingle with the general population of violent criminals.

But, that was just not sufficient punishment for the high crime of refusing to make sh*t up about President Trump. Manafort had to be given the death penalty.

Thank gawd we have a real AG who stopped this despicable persecution.

These are Putinesque tactics.

I will stipulate that Manafort is not the most sympathetic player on the board. And, he probably broke the law. He belongs at Camp Cupcake, not in The Hole.

How is it that we are not full of outrage over this? And terrified that our government has gotten so out of control?

"I am horrified that no one is horrified over the Manafort case."

I think that what was done to Manafort opened the eyes of millions of people to the lengths the State and Federal Government will go to, in order to punish a political opponent. Even AOC understands that this is rule by terror, it is not a lady with a blindfold dispensing justice without bias. It is political thuggery and people SHOULD be horrified, not only that it happened, but by the gleeful reaction of media personalities who should be questioning instead if cheering. What shouldn't surprise people is which political party endorses this tactic.

Mueller went after Manafort hoping he’d flip on President Trump. In fact, I would say that Michael Cohen committed far worse crimes, and in more recent time, than Manafort did. According to Rush Limbaugh, and I’ve heard it elsewhere, the FBI/DOJ investigated Manafort years ago, for these same financial indiscretions, and felt it wasn’t worth pursuing. Then Trump ran for President, and you know the rest.
