Now that Gibson’s have won, and the fact that they will probably prevail in the face of any Oberlin appeal, it is time for the Gibsons to consider the future. When the judgement is secure and has be paid Iwwould suggest the following: 1) close the business, 2) raze the property but don’t sell the real estate, 3) move on, leaving a vacant lot as areminder to Oberlin. This has the dual effect of depriving the Oberlin students of a nice, convienent eating/shopping location, 4) the vacant lot will serve as a reminded to Oberlin’s administration of there folly 5) last but not least the Gibsons can enjoy their new life.
