I was reading a strategic paper on what they are calling hybrid warfare. Iran’s intent, according to the paper, is to maintain plausible deniability and to blame others for their actions. They will also use allies and proxies. However, with each attack the deniability becomes less. Also, other powers can engage in the same low level conflict with targets of increasing strategic value. Iran, according to the paper, sees its own vulnerability and wishes to avoid losing assets while creating a cumulative effect of putting pressure on the Gulf region and the US to give up the sanctions. This would allow Iran to continue its anti-western and anti-Israeli terror operations as well as its nuclear program. Iran is juggling is internal problems against the idea that they can force the outside world to let them have their way before the internal problems collapse the regime. It’s a desperate gamble. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states have probably identified hybrid attack vectors inside Iran that would potentially topple the regime. Right now, the other powers are probably hoping the US will swoop in and save their bacon so they don’t risk themselves and their assets. Frankly, I hope Trump tells them he’ll give them intelligence support but they have to do the heavy lifting.
Punch Iran In the Mouth.
Hit and destroy their nuclear.
Now.
Ain’t gonna happen.
Uncle Sugar is supposed to save their bacon.
Just ask them.
And Iran is being swayed by team Obama saying they have their back.
