Christians in India are a miniscule population (2 % or less) and from what I hear from Indians they mostly confined to a couple or so of southern states, and are so small in number they don't even register in national political discourse as an identity group. Muslims on the other hand are 15+ % , vocal and especially in the northern state of Kashmir are very prone to violence. BJP's beef is with Islamic terrorism and their sympathizers, not "Muslims and Christians". The mainstream media lump them in one bucket to create the impression Modi's party is anti minority but what it is is anti Islamist.
