Their party (call them Democrat, Socialist or whatever) THRIVES on misery. Don't forget FDR had his best showing, by far, during the peak of the Great Depression in the 1936 election when Alf Landon won only two states.

They can endlessly rage against poverty (even though they will bring more), corruption (even though they will bring more) and inequality (even though they will bring more) because they have a compliant media on their side who share the same goals to enrich themselves.

Even when the country is enjoying unprecedented prosperity and low unemployment, as they are now, the president who authored most of the policies who brought is vilified and marginalized. He should be enjoying approval ratings in the 70% range or more rather than hovering around 50%.

He may be. I haven’t been polled, for example, and I find the internals of the ‘landslide for Joe’ polls to be laughable.
