I bet I could come up with a dozen ways to stop and reverse the flow of invaders that require little to no imposition on any US citizen, as e-verify does.
All that is really required is the will to get the job done. When that happens we will have a wealth of very good options.
For example, if we take everything we got in Afghanistan and repurpose it against the Mexican narco-cartels, that would solve two massive problems at once.

INCORRECT. The WAY to stop the flow of invaders is: ELIMINATE THE ILLEGAL WELFARE STATE.

Then, enforce, arrest & prosecute EVERY govt employee for any/everything possible: aiding, abetting, harboring, obstruction, dereliction of duty, violation of oath of office...jay-walking.
There’s Z-E-R-O Constitutional authority for e-Verify. It is merely another way for govt to put blame on a job they fail to do onto biz.
Think a Mexican contractor who’s hiring Mexicans would use e-Verify?
The IRS already knows a bunch of illegals that are using someone else's SSN or a fake one, or even a TIN, don't kid yourself even if he gets tough his employees won't.
We have Cities even whole states that are on rebellion that could be charged and jailed today under current law, why is that not happening? Why is FBI director stonewalling Congress unchastened? Why is Military still holding on to Trannies and Gay Pride celebrations? If only we could figure that out. </s>
