Users and/or abusers of recreational drugs have higher medical costs, insurance costs, turnover and absence rates.

They are just not worth hiring if you can help it.

And alcohol doesn’t cause issues at work? How many people show up with or don’t because of hangovers? That’s just one issue. Changing the criminality status is only one part. They still should not come to work under the influence. How will someone determine who is under the influence after its decriminalize or where it is already decriminalized?
