All President Trump ever said concerning the apparent beat down Jussie got, according to Rintintin:

Trump never said Trump supporters did anything to him and until things were proven out, no one could authoritatively speak to anything but that Jussie got roughed up in some form.
Are you saying you think Trump should have said nothing or that he should have said “I’m glad Jussie got beat up??”

Trump accepted the claim that Jessie was mugged, right out of the gate. A lot of Freepers were skeptical and said they wished he would wait for more info. Just like a lot are skeptical now of the claim that Iran would sabotage Japans attempt to get sanctions lifted, by torpedoing a Japanese ship.
Trump also accepted the claim that Syria used gas. Later evidence points to the rebels, the jihadis that Obama and McCain set up in business
