We have this impression that someone on the “right side of town” has been legit and deserves it. How many Manforts and Maddoffs does it take to realize there are probably as many white collar criminals as “others” but they rarely get persecuted unless they do something stupid like Leona Helmsley (“only little people pay taxes”) or Manafort for the unforgivable sin of helping Trump? Notice what he and Podesta did was only a problem after Trump and even then Podesta skated. The “right people” frequently get away with it.
