Mexican president selling his ‘luxurious presidential plane’ to pay for US immigration deal

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he plans to pay for the U.S.-Mexico immigration deal by selling his presidential plane.

“About how much this plan is going to cost, let me say, we have the budget,” López Obrador said at a Wednesday press conference with Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard. “It would come out of what we’re going to receive from the sale of the luxurious presidential plane.”

The Mexican president said he expects the plane to sell for at least $150 million and that the country would also sell off other airplanes to pay for the deal.

The Mexican president’s announcement comes after Trump said Tuesday that he would let Mexico be the ones to release the details of the new immigration deal.

"You would freeze-action it, you would stop it, you would analyze it," Trump said, refusing to release the deal. "I'm going to let Mexico do the announcement at the right time."

Ebrard said at the press conference that his country had started its deployment of 6,000 National Guard troops to Mexico’s southern border shared with Guatemala.

“Starting from today, and in the coming days, the deployment is going to progress rapidly,” Ebrard said.

The deal struck Friday means Mexico will not face the 5% tariffs on goods imported to the U.S. that Trump had promised to impose if the country did not deal with illegal immigration.

Remember when we backed up the national debt of Mexicon in the 80s to save them from degault? Brady Bonds?

Mexico has found every way possible to rip us off.

Small group, about half bus load of families was sent back to Mexico today to wait for their asylum claims after they got processed in US. The Independent reporter for Border Network News was interviewing them and they don’t want to wait in Mexico, they all want to go back to Guatemala and Honduras. They said Mexican Immigration told them that is not part of the deal to take them back. The reporter went and talked to Mexican Immigration and he told the reporter “Those people got themselves here, they can get themselves back.”

I don’t believe those people got themselves here to begin with. I think the UN, Soros, various “human rights” groups gathered them up and brought them to destroy our immigration system and force open borders on us. Mexico helped and enabled it all the way. I think the same bunch needs to take them home.

What rebuttal will the political posers and habitually defeated come up with now?

He was planning on selling his plane before the deal anyway..He is not serious about selling it and hoodwinked Trump....He plans on buying a new plane and he again suckered Trump...He has no luxury plane and instead will be selling a seized aircraft from a drug kingpin passing it off as his own...Once again conning Trump.

“The reporter went and talked to Mexican Immigration and he told the reporter “Those people got themselves here, they can get themselves back.””

Yes, and that message needs to get down to the “home countries!” The sooner this crap understands that it’s a round trip where the return is “on them,” more of them will stay home. Soros isn’t going to finance their return.

Where’s the pic of the plane? It probably some POS they confiscated from an errant American bigwig who decided to get in on the drug business. Or maybe it’s just a Cessna 150!

What a HUGE crock of BS. And put some chili sauce on it.....

This guy probably has more cartel money at his disposal, along with the country coffers....this is the best BS line he could come up with???

He should be worrying about how much revenue Mexico will give up if tariffs go into effect. He will be wearing it....

Oh I know Soros won’t pay for them to go home. The whole sorry bunch will be quick to wash their hands of any that want to go home.

I am just really angry at those socialists for dragging these people and especially children up here for their agenda. They have so much false compassion for them when they are getting them here, and when they are here but no real compassion when it comes to helping them when they want to go home.

The presidential plane, pictured in Colombia in June 2017.

"On Tuesday, El Universal newspaper reported that during the first three years of the preceding administration, 746 bottles of alcohol were consumed on the aircraft – including 35 bottles of booze which were opened on a short flight from Mexico City to Acapulco."

Used and abused for $150,000,000.00.
