What stats? At least in this story, the only stat was that the number of fatals involving drivers with THC in their systems was up. Was the total number of fatal accidents up? Did they consistently test for this before?
It doesnt prove anything except that since legalization more folks have detectable THC than before in accidents
THC is detectable for eons way beyond when folks are high
Its like if you took hair samples of all wrecks victims I bet 75% show alcohol use at some point but itd be way past intoxication state
You can show the THC concentration used in Colorado even two weeks after smoking
Detectable THC is like relatives who wont leave and it shows up weeks after the buzz is gone
Plus accident THC correlation doesnt mention other factors like booze or pain meds etc
