Not surprising. This is the typical kind of witness called when Dems are in charge of the House. Big name witnesses who haven't a clue are preferred because PR value trumps competence for a witness, when they know the MSM won't call them out on the witnesses' ignorance.

I remember LMAO many decades ago when the House was considering some agricultural bill and "called to the stand" a handful of A-list female actresses who had all played similar roles of spunky farmer's wives or daughters who single-handedly protected the family farm from takeover by evil developers, after the male farmer died.
