There was taping facilities in the Oval office, which predated Nixon by a mile and he simply taped ( stupidly and should have destroyed those tapes! )lots of people for historical reasons. JFK and LBJ did the same thing! But they were DEMS, they had already made the moron JFK into a "saint", so even discussing all; of that was never going to happen and by now, has been sent down the memory hole and destroyed...except for those who lived through ALL of this and KNOW what's what.

And now the Nixon tapes are on the internet and searchable while descendants of President Harding have some of his papers still locked up, until 2023, when they *might* be made available.

Because I went to school when FACTS were still still being taught and even kids in grade 1, had to follow current events, I knew all about what was going on at an early age. The older I got, the more I did learn about these events. And even though I did watch the JFK V Nixon debate, which many who had watched it gave the "win" to JFK...I was all for Nixon.
Later, I worked on Mr. Nixon's two winning presidential campaigns.
This IS indeed war and has been for many, many, MANY decades! The old fashioned GOP "white gloves" should have come off when I was still in my long gone "salad days" and I said so way back then!
