State-controlled economy: See Nazi Germany 1930’s
State control and regulation of private property : Bye Bye private property.
High taxes for the rich: Partial truth. High taxes on everyone.
State-controlled media and communication: That has been accomplished already
Strong environmental regulations: Bye Bye private property ownership again.
High public spending: Leads to more taxes on everyone

When my kids were young and flirting with non-capitalistic thoughts, I just asked them if they wanted the govt to chose what clothes they were to wear.
Women are driven by security... I would not be surprised by this at all...

I cured my kids of socialism with the example of “grade norming”.
Some pencil necked professor suggested that A students give up some of their points to C and D students to make it fair.
My kids said “Hell no, I worked for those grades”.

No wonder such polls ("How do you feel about socialism?") give such results. Tens of millions of Americans already receive handouts via socialism.

Indeed. My sister is an intelligent woman, opposed to abortion in every form. But she will never ever vote for a Republican! Logic apparently doesn’t enter into it. Another sister is violently opposed the The Church as they do not allow women to be priests. Agh!
They are also easier to sway their opinions.
That is why lawyers want women on juries.
